Dovestone Reservoir: Search for missing paddleboarder enters day three

Rescue crews said they were doing “everything they can” to find a man who fell into a reservoir while paddleboarding as the search continued for a third day.

An operation to locate the missing man has been underway since Sunday after a couple went missing at Dovestone Reservoir, near Oldham, and a woman was later pulled from the water safely.

The search was called off last night amid “very difficult” conditions, a Greater Manchester Police spokesman said.

Efforts resumed earlier while a large cordon was maintained around the reservoir on the edge of the Peak District.
