Leaked multiplayer Pokemon gameplay footage reveals action montages and a gun

More Pokemon leaks have dropped, revealing a co-op multiplayer game focused on booting and assembling worlds, as well as a gun.

The past few weeks have been wild for Pokemon fans, as Game Freak suffered a massive data leak, revealing all sorts of previously unreleased game builds, content, and more. Among those leaks is a Pokemon game described as having gameplay similar to Splatoon.

Codenamed “Synapse,” there’s now more information about what this game is all about. As shared by Centro LEAKS via a post on X, it’s an “online co-op Pokemon fighting game” where players can ride Pokemon and engage in battles.

As a player, your main goal is essentially to “defeat and ride a rampaging Pokemon”. Some gameplay footage has also been leaked, showing different worlds as mounts.

While assembling a Pokemon, the gameplay footage also showed that you can attack by throwing an otherworldly Poke Ball, which will prompt them to use their abilities.

Overall, the premise seems like it would look like an online co-op Pokemon game, but there is one interesting addition. Just like the description of a previous leak, this game also featured a gun.

The leaked images showed a gun that looks more like a spray can, which fits with the information that the game seems to be inspired by Splatoon. There’s no footage of this in action gameplay-wise, but it already looks like a new addition to the franchise.

Some other leaked features also revealed that you can customize worlds with paint marks and that the game was initially planned for Nintendo Switch and mobile.

According to the leaked information, the game was initially called “Rodeo”. Speculation hinted that Project Rodeo was canceled and the concept was “rendered by ILCA/Game Freak under the new codename Synapse”.

While it’s unclear if this game will see the light of day, a new version of the game is “potentially still in the works,” according to the leaks.
