Olivia Nuzzi Leaves New York Magazine Amid RFK Jr. Affair Scandal

Olivia Nuzzi is leaving New York Magazine after nearly eight years amid the scandal of her affair with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“Mrs. Nuzzi is pleased but not surprised that two separate investigations have determined that her reports on the 2024 campaign were sound and that she did nothing wrong,” her attorney said in a statement Monday, as shared via X (formerly Twitter) Hollywood Reporter Correspondent Lachlan Cartwright.

“For nearly eight years, he consistently produced highly popular and critically acclaimed journalism as New York magazine’s Washington correspondent.”

The statement continued: “She is grateful to the editors, fact-checkers and artists she worked with and to the readers who supported her with their time, subscriptions and commitment.”

“He looks forward to the next chapter of his career,” the statement concluded.

New York magazine also offered its readers a similar “update.”

“Last month, the magazine hired the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine to review Olivia Nuzzi’s work during the 2024 campaign. They reached the same conclusion as the magazine’s initial internal review of her published work , finding no inaccuracies or evidence of bias,” the outlet explained.

“However, the magazine and Nuzzi agreed that the best course forward was to part ways. Nuzzi is a uniquely talented writer, and we have been proud to publish her work during her nearly eight years as Washington correspondent. . We wish him the best.”

Last month, it emerged that Kennedy, 70, was involved in an alleged “sexting” relationship with New York magazine political reporter Nuzzi, 31.

Nuzzi wrote a profile on the former presidential candidate that was published in November 2023. Sometime after that, the two began their alleged affair.

An insider told Page Six that the alleged secret lovers had “amazing” sex over FaceTime and even said they loved each other.
