Jake Paul breaks unspoken boxing rule with controversial Mike Tyson pre-fight workout video

Boxing fans are calling for Mike Tyson to teach Jake Paul a lesson when they fight next month after the YouTuber caused controversy by sharing footage of his sparring sessions online.

Jake Paul has caused a stir by posting a video of himself running over one of his fellow trainers, breaking an unspoken boxing rule.

Paul is currently training for his highly anticipated meeting with Mike Tyson, which will take place next month. The match was originally scheduled for this summer, but did not happen then because Tyson developed an inflamed ulcer and needed rest.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world has resumed training but has hardly shared any videos of his sessions since returning to the gym. However, Paul has kept his followers updated and recently posted a video on his social media account in which he is seen taking down his sparring partner, DeAndre Savage.

Savage, a heavyweight, has won six of his eight professional bouts, stopping his opponents each time. His other two matches were declared no-contests, one due to an injury to his opponent and the other after an accidental hit, which resulted in an early stoppage in his last outing.

However, in sharing the video, Paul flouted generally accepted boxing code, stating that what happens during sparring stays is in the gym. In 2016, Chris Eubank Jr. he faced criticism from his future opponent, Nick Blackwell, for posting a video of himself eliminating one of his teammates.

“He put a video on social media, for the whole world to see, of him knocking out a kid who hasn’t even had a professional fight, and it’s disgusting,” Blackwell commented. “The fan boy is building his confidence and trying to learn from a so-called pro, but somehow Eubank Jr takes pride in exploiting him like that.”

Boxing fans were far from thrilled with Paul’s video. One commented: “He was a horrible playmate,” while another said: “He’s in for a rude awakening if he compares this guy to Tyson.”

Another commented: “Big Mike is going to take his brother’s head off his shoulders” – and another was just as scathing, saying: “That guy had no head movement, one of Mike’s best attributes.”
