Liam Payne’s ex-girlfriend reveals the last message she sent him weeks before his death

Liam Payne’s ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer, who dated the singer between 2010 and 2013, shared her grief over his death.

The professional dancer took to Instagram on Sunday to post a heartfelt letter to Payne, revealing the last message she sent him weeks before her sudden death aged 31.

“Receiving a message from you a couple of weeks ago expressing your happiness at the love I found with Sonny and Mia is something I will cherish forever,” Peazer wrote in part.

She is married to radio DJ Sonny Jay. They welcomed a daughter named Mia in May.

Peazer and Payne met during their time on “The X Factor” in 2010 and dated for several years until 2013, when their relationship fizzled out.

Elsewhere in his sad post, Peazer expressed gratitude to Payne for the lessons he imparted during their years-long friendship.

“Thank you for teaching me the importance of setting boundaries and that I should always protect my heart,” she wrote.

Earlier in Peazer’s post, he also urged fans to recognize that Payne was more than just a public figure and a musician.

“While we all take time to navigate a world without Liam, it’s important to remember that while he was adored by millions as a world-famous musician over the past decade, he was also the son and brother of someone for over 30 years, a friend to so many and most recently an uncle,” he wrote.

“His most important role and the one he was most proud of out of all his monumental achievements was being a father. To think that there is now a child growing up without one of his parents is heartbreaking and unfair.”

Peazer admitted that Payne’s death “still doesn’t feel real” and that he “hoped and prayed that this day would never come.”
