Big Brother 2024 reveals a new head of house twist

Big Brother 2024 spoilers follow.

Big Brother has revealed a new head of house as Khaled’s week-long reign officially came to an end.

In tonight’s episode (October 20), the housemates discussed who they thought would make a good head of house, with Ali and Thomas suggesting Izaaz.

Big Brother later informed the housemates that there would be a change of management.

“The next Head of House will be chosen today. The Head of House enjoys luxuries, privileges, and most of all, immunity from the next eviction. Who is the right person for the job?”

Big Brother explained how the next leader would be chosen, and each housemate would eliminate one candidate from the running.

“A series of glass portraits, each featuring the face of a housemate, are being erected in the Big Brother gallery,” Big Brother announced. “Khaled, you will be the first to enter my gallery, you must choose a face to destroy and thus eliminate this fellow from the competition.”

After each housemate made their choice, they decided who would be next in the portrait gallery. The person whose picture was left standing would become the new head of the house.

Armed with a hammer and safety glasses, Khaled entered the gallery and smashed Lily’s glass portrait. He then appointed Segun to make his decision.

The housemates tactically removed their fellow candidates, until two portraits remained. With only there i dean abandoned in the race, Big Brother revealed that they would be the two heads of house this week.

Later, in the journal room, Ali and Dean became aware of a new twist as they snuck into a secret basement.

“Tomorrow the housemates will nominate. Big Brother wants to reveal a big secret to you. The housemates will be nominated in pairs, each pair must nominate another pair of housemates to face eviction.

“Your power as heads of house is to choose who will be in each pair. That’s a double whammy,” Big Brother concluded.

The duo argued over who they should pair up with to prevent housemates from ‘getting together’ with each other. They decided to mix up the friendship groups to keep things fair.

With the nominations on the rise, what will be the consequences?

big brother is broadcast on ITV2 and ITVX from Sunday to Friday, followed every night by Big Brother: Late and live.
