Bathroom in Kejriwal’s former bungalow costs over Rs 15 crore: inventory

An inventory list of former chief minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal of his previous residence at 6, Flag Staff Road reveals that the bathroom in the house costs more than 15 crores with amenities such as toilet seats intelligent, fully automatic and equipped with installed sensors.

The list shows that there are five superior sanitary and water supply facilities worth Rs 15 crore, three hot water generators worth Rs 22.5 lakhs and a washing machine worth Rs 2.10 lakh . Its rooms have been fitted with 80 body sensors and a motorized remote-controlled window curtain and track worth Rs 4-5.6 crore.

Decorative pillars worth 36 lakhs, automatic sliding sensor and remote controlled wooden doors and glass door worth 70 lakhs, eight reclining sofas worth 10 lakhs and two ovens worth 9 lakhs were also part of the inventory list of your residence.

Reacting to the luxury items worth crores, Delhi BJP hit out at the ruling party and said, “Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s bungalow inventory list is a hot topic in media and social media , which makes it clear why Kejriwal and Atishi Marlena want to keep this bungalow hidden from the public eye.”

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated that while the Chief Minister’s residence should be well maintained with modern amenities, it is deplorable to indulge in luxury at the expense of public funds.

“For half the population, owning a house worth Rs 1 crore remains a distant dream, but the inventory of Kejriwal’s bungalow shows that the toilet seats alone cost Rs 1 crore to be installed , but are now missing, with sanitary fittings exceeding Rs 15 crore and decorative items valued at over Rs 5 crore,” he stated.

Sachdeva claimed that the list further reveals curtains worth Rs 5.6 crore and sofas costing several thousand thousand dollars, adding to the extravagance of the fully air-conditioned residence. In light of these revelations, the Delhi BJP chief demanded that Atishi act ethically and invited media representatives to inspect and publicly disclose all items in the bungalow before he moves in.

“Home appliances like steam ovens, microwaves, coffee makers and washing machines, beyond the imagination of a common person, have been installed in the bungalow by Kejriwal, who claims to represent the common man,” he alleged.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said that Kejriwal has ruthlessly spent crores of rupees, earned by the hard work of the people of Delhi, to build himself a luxury retreat.

He mentioned that the decorations of Kejriwal’s ‘Sheesh Mahal’ are so extravagant that they surpass even that of a seven-star hotel.

“It is shameful that a man who misled the public with slogans like ‘I will not take a car, I will not take a bungalow, I will not take security’ has, in the last ten years, erected a Sheesh Mahal that even surpasses the luxury of the Mughals ,” said the LoP.
