Riddhima Kapoor reveals how her family dealt with father Rishi Kapoor’s death

Riddhima Kapoor recently made her on-screen debut in the Netflix show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives after being away from the camera for years. While promoting the show, she appeared in an interview with YouTuber Siddharth Kanan, where she spoke about a deeply personal chapter in her life after Rishi Kapoor’s death. He revealed how each member of the family dealt with it in their own way and never showed their emotions.

Recalling that dark phase in their lives, Riddhima said, “When my father died we never showed any emotion to each other. We used to go to separate rooms and cry like we were taking it all out and then I would come and then just being normal or acting normal, but it’s brought us a lot closer.”

Ridhhima further added that although her family does not express their grief, but “deep down” they always carry pain in their hearts. Earlier in another interview, Riddhima had also shared that since the death of Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir, she and her mother also take care of each other more than before.

Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with leukemia and spent a lot of time in New York for his treatment. He returned to India in 2019. The veteran actor passed away on April 30, 2020.

Coming back to Riddhima’s work front, both Ranbir and Neetu Kapoor showed their support for her in her first on-screen stint. Ranbir also encouraged his sister and warned the other cast members not to take her lightly. “Riddhima, beyond politeness and you know, softness, is a fighter. So the OG wives and the new wives, they are definitely in for a shock. Because I would tell them not to take Riddhima lightly” , he said. .

He also gave him love and praise, and showed him his steadfastness. “I don’t say this often, but Riddhima, I love you deeply. You are someone I love. Even when you weren’t doing a show like this, I was always rooting for you. And I’ll be rooting for you more,” he concluded .
