Dedication ceremony of the new installation of the Ministry of Women

CHARLOTTE, Ark. (KAIT) – A new women’s facility at John 3:16 Ministries in Charlotte was dedicated on Thursday, October 10.

John 3:16 Ministries has been helping both men and women struggling with addiction for years, and a couple of weeks ago they opened their new women’s facility. It has 40 beds.

Mark Hayes of the Arkansas Municipal League says it was great to see the building today.

“We got very involved in litigation to get the funds that could do these types of facilities, and to be here today and see these types of things come to life, that’s exactly why my family is so involved in this fight,” Hayes. he said

Bryan Tuggle with John 3:16 says this new facility will help bring families together.

“Everything that will pass through here will offer life. Families are reunited, working with DHS and Foster Care so that all of this together signifies God’s will,” Tuggle said.

John 3:16 was able to acquire the funds for this facility through the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Program and will now be able to provide women struggling with addiction with a place to stay.

“He’s doing a great job and he’s going to continue to do a great job,” Hayes said. “We’re going to have top-notch graduates coming here and I couldn’t be happier to see the place.”

Amanda Waugh is a health coach and instructor in women’s ministry and talks about what it’s like to serve women who come to them for help.

“To be able to serve women, you see them come in hopeless, then give it a week or two later they say they’re sleeping through the night and they’re at peace,” Waugh said. “You can see them restored with their families and being who they were meant to be all along.”

Hayes’ son died of addiction, and Hayes was one of the main people involved in obtaining the funds for this facility. At the ceremony, John 3:16 dedicated it to Hayes’ son.

“This about people getting sober and living their lives to the fullest and getting their lives back under their own control,” Hayes said.

This ministry already has 28 women. They are serving with 11 graduates and are excited about the lives they will change going forward.
