As the vehicle pulled into Strictly’s London base, Wynne, 52, emerged ready to reunite with her BBC pro.

His blue shirt with a butterfly print added some cheer after a dreary week for the Go Compare ad frontman.

The pair will perform a quickstep to ELO classic Mr Blue Sky during tonight’s live show after being the talk of Strictly last week, and not just for their tango routine.

BBC Radio Wales presenter Wynne was seen with his hand around fellow professional Katya’s waist during the show, but later explained it was “a stupid joke gone wrong”.

He said how he was “heartbroken” by the backlash, which was also fueled when she refused to high five the star in the Go Compare ad, sparking rumors of a falling out.

Katya took to her own social media pages to defend her antics before confessing she ‘can’t stand’ the backlash in a candid chat on spin-off show It Takes Two.

It remains to be seen whether the drama affects the couple’s performance on the live show, and their subsequent standing with the judges and the public vote, but they are determined to leave.

BAD VIBS

Dr Jill Jacobs, a former dance movement teacher, spoke to The Sun today on behalf of BetVictor and claimed fans of the show “don’t want scandal” and can therefore vote Wynne and Katya Jones out.

They are also the bookies’ favorites to get the boot.

Speaking about a potential eviction for the pair, Jill told us: ‘The only question is when.

“If people feel that way and aren’t happy with how the partner is, they feel the partner is negative.

“Whereas Pete and Jowita, whether they’re romantically involved, that’s joy, that’s happiness. They share that. They bring that to the show. We love it.

“It’s joy and happiness.

The pair have also been advised to drop their ‘everything is fine’ mantra ahead of their next performance.
