The preview event of Amaran in Chennai on 18 October was attended by Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi and filmmakers Lokesh Kanagaraj and Mani Ratnam.

The makers of Amaran organized a grand pre-launch event in Chennai on Friday. Apart from the film’s lead stars Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, famous filmmakers Lokesh Kanagaraj and Mani Ratnam were also present. During the event, Mani Ratnam expressed his admiration for Sai Pallavi and his desire to work with the actress. Praising Sai Pallavi, Mani Ratnam said, “I am a big fan of yours; I hope to work with you one day.” The director’s comment about Sai Pallavi immediately drew loud applause from the audience.

Moved by his words, Sai Pallavi responded quickly enough. She said, “Before entering films, I didn’t know many directors, but Mani Ratnam was a name I always knew. He’s one of the reasons I’m particular about the scripts and the roles I choose.”

During the same event, Sivakarthikeyan also praised Sai Pallavi calling her a “big brand”. He shared, “I saw Sai Pallavi in ​​Premam. Like everyone, I too became a fan of ‘Malar teacher’. When I called her to praise her performance, she said, “Thank you so much anna (elder brother )”. Today it is a great brand.”

Meanwhile, Amaran is a biographical action war film, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. Jointly financed by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the upcoming film is an adaptation of the book, India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military. The project explores the life of martyred soldier Mukund Varadarajan. In the film, Sivakarthikeyan will play the lead role, while Sai will essay the role of Indhu Rebecca Varghese, the wife of the martyred soldier. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, Amaran will feature Bhuvan Arora, Gaurav Venkatesh and Rahul Bose in key roles. It will be released on October 31.

Coming back to Mani Ratnam, the filmmaker has wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film, Thug Life. It is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Ashok Selvan, Nassar, Trisha, Abhirami and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
