Two days after Liam Payne’s death, his girlfriend Kate Cassidy shared a note on Instagram.

Liam Payne, the former member of One Direction, left a void in the hearts of those who loved him. The 31-year-old English singer reportedly died after falling from the balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16. As people around the world grapple with the loss of Liam, his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, shared a post on her Instagram account, talking about the tragic incident.

Two days after the 31-year-old singer’s sudden death, Kate posted a story describing Liam as an “angel”. She wrote: “Thank you for all the kind words and love you’ve sent me,” and continued: “I’ve been completely lost. Nothing the past few days has felt real. I’m asking and praying that you give me grace and the space to navigate through it privately.”

Kate ended her statement by remembering her boyfriend. “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you, Liam.

The late English singer began dating influencer Kate Cassidy after breaking up with Maya Henry in 2022. In the same year, Liam met the influencer and they went public with their relationship at the British Fashion Awards in London. The two were reported to be in an on-again, off-again relationship. In the hours before the tragic incident, the 31-year-old singer had shared several videos on his Snapchat account with his girlfriend, Katie. The video showed the couple enjoying breakfast and discussing plans for the day.

According to reports, Liam had extended his stay in Argentina to meet up with his former bandmate Niall Horan, who was performing in the country. According to the New York Post, the 31-year-old singer begged his influencer girlfriend to stay after she decided to return to Florida just four days before the tragic incident. Kate didn’t want to stay in one place for long. So he decided to go back.

A friend of Kate told this outlet that Liam never informed her when he would be ready to leave, so she booked a ticket home herself, leaving him upset. “Liam didn’t want Kate to leave Argentina. He wanted her to stay. She says she begged him to stay. He was actually a little hotter than you think. He didn’t know why she would leave him, but he wanted to be at home with his dog. He didn’t like that at all. He was in a bad mood about it,” the friend revealed.
