What’s On: Steam showdown and fun-filled fan party

Fans can expect exciting events as the Bay of Plenty Steamers prepare for their NPC semi-final clash against Canterbury at Tauranga Domain today.

The Steamers put the Hawkes Bay Magpies to the sword after a thrilling 79-minute effort last weekend, finishing 19-17.

The box office opens at 10 am and the doors at 2:30 pm.

A classic Kiwi Kaimai Egg and Spoon race will start at 3pm, and fans can sign up for the Bunnings Tug-of-War and Brandt Tractor Pull from 2.30pm to 3.10pm.

At 3.20pm the Bunnings tug-of-war will start, followed by the Brandt tractor pull at 3.30pm, both on the athletics track.
