Beautiful weekend, but still check the combustion conditions

SAGINAW, Michigan (WNEM) – Although we still need some rain, we’ve had good weather this week and it looks like it will continue into the weekend.

While it may not be great for burning, many are still under open burn bans, it will still provide a great opportunity to get out and enjoy all the fall activities around Mid-Michigan. Or, if you want to do yard cleanup or anything else outdoors, you have a great weekend.

This afternoon and overnight

We have a nice afternoon ahead of us for high school football games and any other Friday night plans. Temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s across most of the area this afternoon, but with clear skies and light winds, we should see a fairly quick drop tonight.

Saturday and Sunday

Heading into the weekend, expect our sunshine and above average temperatures to continue. As mentioned above, if you are planning to work outside and were planning to burn brush/leaves etc, make sure you check with your local officials. Although some burn bans had been lifted, there are still many areas under outdoor burning restrictions. It’s an inconvenience, but please be safe.

Highs Saturday will be in the 60s and 70s.
