OnePlus might also be doing away with curved edges

OnePlus’ next flagship looks a little flat, and that’s a good thing. The alleged image of the unreleased OnePlus 13 was posted on Weibo and has since been removed, but not before being spotted by 9to5Google. It shows the phone with flat sides instead of the curved edges that recent OnePlus phones feature. It’s a small change, but it would make OnePlus the latest in a long list of phone makers to embrace the (probably more comfortable) flat-edge design.

Does this design detail really matter when most people put a case on their phone right after unpacking it? no Is this the kind of thing you care about when you spend all day thinking and writing about phones? yes But hear me out: straight edges are nicer to hold. They make it easy to pick up a phone from a table. And they alone looks better All phones look like iPhones now anyway, and that’s fine. Why try to reinvent the wheel?

In any case, we probably won’t have to wait long to find out what form the OnePlus 13 will take: it looks like the company plans to launch it in China sometime this month.
