Amazon Black Friday 2024 Sale: What to Expect

With a wide range of deals on Amazon’s best-selling products and popular home and tech products, it’s no wonder the Amazon Winter Sale is so popular.

When will Amazon’s Black Friday sale start?

Last year, Amazon’s Black Friday sale started much later than we expected, a couple of weeks into November.

This year, Amazon’s 48-hour Prime Day sale took place October 8 and 9with the retailer running “hundreds of thousands of deals” for Prime members. so that Like last year, we expect the retailer to hold off on rolling out its first Black Friday deals until mid-November.

What will be on Amazon’s Black Friday sale this year?

Last year, we saw some great deals. Some products were the cheapest we’ve ever seen them on Amazon (at the time)

We’ve spotted some particularly good discounts on smartphones, including deals Google Pixel 8the Sony Xperia 10the iPhone 14 and the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G. If you’re looking for a new smartphone this Black Friday, Amazon might be a good place to look.

We expect the retailer to also offer discounts in most of its other departments, including electronics, Kitchen appliances, House and garden, Products for babies i Health and personal care.

Does Amazon offer any guarantees?

Depending on how you shop on Amazon during the sales, you’ll be covered by one of the retailer’s warranty schemes.

A to Z Amazon Guarantee

This offers protection if you buy an item sold and delivered by an outside seller. It covers the delivery and condition of your items, plus any issues with returns.

Amazon says you have the right to request a refund if you haven’t received your package and it’s been three days since the last estimated delivery date. You can also claim your money back if the item is damaged, faulty or not as described.

Amazon Renewed Warranty

If you’re buying a refurbished, pre-owned, or open-box product, you’re covered by Amazon’s Refurbished Warranty. The retailer says this gives you “the same standard return policy as on most Amazon purchases.”

You can claim a replacement or refund if the product is faulty or ‘doesn’t work as expected’ within one year of delivery.

How much is Amazon delivery?

Free shipping is standard for Amazon Prime members (except for the four-hour delivery window option for larger items).

For non-Prime members, standard UK delivery is free on eligible book orders over £10 or other eligible items over £25.

For One Day and Premium delivery, this can vary between £3.95 and £4.99 per delivery, while Priority Delivery costs 99p. Same day and overnight delivery costs £5.99 for all eligible items.

Regardless of whether you’re a Prime member or not, some large items may come with the option of a four-hour delivery window on a specified day, which is a one-off fee of £10.

You may also be given the option to send your package to one of them Amazon pickup locations.

Returns on Amazon sales purchases

If you buy a product from Amazon during the sale and it arrives at your door damaged, the retailer is fully responsible.

Under the Consumer Rights Act, your purchase must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If the product does not meet one of these requirements, the retailer (not the manufacturer) is to blame.

Even if your purchase is not damaged or defective, you can return it under Amazon’s voluntary return policy. A message on the retailer’s website says, “You can return most products from Amazon sites to Amazon within 30 days of receiving the products.”

To do this, you’ll need to log in to Amazon Online Return Center.

How to recycle your old technology

Replace any older technology during sales? Be sure to dispose of your old items responsibly.

You have a couple of options if you want to offload your unwanted electronics. Curbside collection is suitable for small electrical items; in many cases, your council will collect smaller items such as toasters and kettles. Otherwise, you can just drop the items off at your local recycling center.
