Premier League managers face the press ahead of the return of domestic football this weekend.

But amid the noise there is some good news as the United boss reveals Noussair Mazraoui is available for selection after initial fears suggested he would be sidelined for several weeks.

Unfortunately, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo are still a long way from recovery.

🗣️ Erik ten Hag has come out firing after questioning his work, accusing the media of lies and fairy tales.

“The noise only comes from some of you (media), creating stories and fairy tales, bringing lies. (Some) journalists did not believe me. I saw the reports. Of course, we are unhappy with the position we are in we find. In short, we are calm and composed. We are sticking to the plan and we are very convinced that it will be a success.”

But Gary O’Neil’s Wolves can’t rest…

Still without a win this season and the Premier League final, they now have to be without Hwang Hee Chan after he picked up an injury on international duty.

“There’s something there, ligament damage on the inside of the ankle, in a couple of weeks,” the Wolves boss explained.

Now it’s Postecoglou’s turn for good news…

“The son is good, he has worked hard this week. He is good to go,” he tells reporters.

“We’ve taken our time with (Richarlison) and we’ve taken time to build his fitness base. He’s worked hard, he’s cut himself and now he looks lean. He’s good now.”

“Lucas Bergvall got a knock but he trained this morning and there are no problems.”

Meanwhile, another long-term absentee could see Premier League action this weekend, this time at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth manager Andone Iraola has confirmed that Tyler Adams could return after 18 months out.

“I think everyone will be available,” he told reporters.

A little more about Reece James, who will be limited to just one game a week.

“The solution with Reece is what we’re using with Romeo and Wes, using them just one game a week. Reece’s body (currently) can’t play twice a week.”

Enzo Maresca is now speaking to the media and, in major news for Chelsea fans, confirms that club captain Reece James is back fit and available.

“Finally all our players are available, injury free. Also Reece James is back as part of the squad.”

James has yet to feature this season thanks to a hamstring injury, but could return against Liverpool.

Guardiola insisted he is yet to make a decision on his own future despite previous links with the England role.

“At this stage I haven’t made a decision. When I decide, I’ll inform the club and then the press… that’s why there’s no news, and that’s why I have absolutely nothing more to add.”

“The next game is my only focus.”

Meanwhile, the City boss dodged two separate questions about whether he was approached for the England job, saying:

“Thomas Tuchel is the coach of England, congratulations to him. I wish him and England the best.”

Guardiola is here, confirming that both Nathan Aké and Kevin de Bruyne will not be available to start this weekend.

About the Dutch defender, he adds “maybe he can travel but to begin with he is not ready”.

Meanwhile, he also points out that the Brazilians (Savinho and Ederson) and Akanji need to look after their international exploits.
