A Boston woman was arrested for stealing ,800 from Lululemon

BOSTON — A woman was arrested Saturday night after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a Lululemon store on Boylston Street.

Boston Police Department officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a call at approximately 8:18 p.m. on November 2nd at 776 Boylston Street for a report of a theft in progress.

Officers received a description of the suspect and were told he had moved to a nearby Dicks Sporting Goods store.

Upon locating the suspect, identified as Kaitlyn Mclean, 37, of Ipswich, she threw away the stolen property when she saw police.

Mclean was handcuffed and officers recovered 48 items with an approximate value of $4,812.94.

Mclean was charged with theft over $1,200 and also faces charges related to an active shoplifting warrant.

She is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
