An 8th grade teacher in Mzansi had the full support of a student who scored poorly on a question about the purpose of the British when they came to Africa.

The teacher shared her student’s cute response on her TikTok page under the user ID @samunzimande, which reached 1.2 million views, 51,000 likes and over 1,600 comments.

The teacher shared a post with the student’s answer to the question:

“What was the main objective of the British when they came to Africa?”

The student responded with the following:

“They want our land, and they told us to pray. After opening our eyes, they have the land and we have babies.”

Mzansi requires full student qualification

After seeing the post, the online community supported the boy, asking the teacher to mark his answer as his answer was not wrong. Some commented that primary education limits student creativity by expecting answers in a certain way:
