New Jersey Greek restaurant targeted by hateful anti-Jewish TikTok for ‘Israeli’ flag

New Jersey Greek restaurant targeted by hateful anti-Jewish TikTok for ‘Israeli’ flag

israeli flags The video, which went viral with more than 3.2 million views on TikTok and millions more on X, captures her proudly removing the flags while proclaiming: “Free Palestine, bitch!” to the bewildered restaurant staff.

Believing she was making a bold political statement against Zionism, Ambamelia loudly confronted the Greek restaurant employees, accusing them of supporting Israel.

But the viral moment took a cringe-worthy turn when one of the staff gently pointed out that the blue and white flags he had pulled down were, in fact, Greek, not Israeli. “What? really? Oh, I thought it was Israel, my bad,” he awkwardly replies in the clip, adding, “Oh shit… it looked like Israel.”

Owner of the restaurant Efi Mihaliswho opened Efi’s Gyro in 2021 at the age of 18, confirmed that the incident, while unbelievable to some, was completely real. It actually took place in March, but it only recently surfaced online. Mihalis reported the incident to the police when it happened, although the delayed viral attention has made it a topic of widespread discussion on the internet, with many viewers wondering how anyone could make such a mistake.

While the incident has drawn laughter and criticism, it’s safe to say that this is a mix-up that TikTokers won’t soon forget!
