Adrenaline-filled adventures aboard Disney’s new ship

Cruise travelers interested in big thrills won’t find any bigger than those soon to come aboard Disney AdventureDisney Cruise Line’s largest ship to debut in December 2025.

The cruise line has announced three all-new, adrenaline-fueled attractions that will be part of the ship’s Marvel Landing adventure zone, a first for the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

Located on the upper deck of the ship, where sea breezes and exceptional views will enhance every thrill, Marvel Landing celebrates favorite superheroes with supercharged attractions: Ironcycle Test Run, Pym Quantum Racers and Groot Galaxy Spin.

Ironcycle Test Run will be the longest roller coaster at sea at 820 feet, surpassing Bolt from Carnival Cruise Line 800-foot roller coaster by a slim but recognizable margin.

The themed coaster features two-seater motorcycle vehicles in Iron Man’s iconic red and gold colors and a helmet design.

The ride will begin with an exhilarating, fast-paced driving lesson from Tony Stark’s virtual assistant on FRIDAY before speeding up to 30ft above the ship’s deck with dips, twists and turns that are sure to deliver jaw-dropping thrills and unique views.

For fans of “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” the new Pym Quantum Racers is inspired by the fast-paced car chase scene and offers guests the chance to navigate their own cars around a track full of obstacles The new “Pym Tech Gadgets” will provide even more immersion into the high-tech world for the fun karting adventure.

Finally, the stomach-churning Groot Galaxy Spin will take guests on a “Guardians of the Galaxy” whirlwind as they soar and tumble above the upper decks of the ship in their very own Nova Corp Bass Jumper vehicles.

Guests will have the opportunity to control the height of the vehicles themselves, all while being tuned to a fun mixtape of Groot’s favorite hits.

If fast-paced thrills aren’t the right vibe for travelers, the Infinity Pool and Bar is primed for panoramic views with tributes to the Infinity Stones embedded in the decor. Snacks and drinks will be available for guests to refuel in between all their incredible hero-worthy adventures.

The entire area will feature brilliant Marvel-themed artwork to add a high-energy atmosphere to the space and transport guests directly into the Marvel universe.

Disney Cruise Line has not clarified whether or not the three exciting attractions at Marvel Landing will be free or carry additional charges, but those details are sure to be revealed in the coming year before the ship’s maiden voyage.

Disney Adventure will be brought home all year round from Singapore. The 208,000 gross ton ship will offer short 3- and 4-night cruises “with only magical days at sea” so travelers can truly escape and enjoy everything the ship has to offerone adventure at a time.

More emotions at sea

Disney Cruise Line is not the first to offer attractions on board its ships. Most major cruise lines have introduced a variety of thrill-seeking attractions in recent years, in addition to the classic water slides that are a mainstay on most ships.

Royal Caribbean offers a range of thrills on its ships, from the classic climbing wall to bumper cars, surf simulators, observation pods and zip lines.

Carnival Cruise Line introduced the Bolt roller coaster on board Mardi Gras in 2021, which also appears on the other two Excel-class ships, Carnival celebration i Carnival Jubilee.

Norwegian Cruise Line offers go-karts, high-speed slides and other thrills on several ships, including the next one The hybrid water slide and roller coaster is coming Norwegian Aqua.

MSC Cruises also offers exciting voyages on select ships, such as the Cliffhanger will appear in the new MSC World Americaas well as the Robotron on board MSC Seascape.
