When Nausheen Ali Sardar revealed that Sima Taparia refused to marry her because of religion

Nausheen Ali Sardara popular TV actor and model, revealed that Sima Taparia of ‘Indian Matchmaking’ fame refused to sign her up with his agency because of her religion.
Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Nausheen shared her experience of finding a suitable match for marriage through Sima Taparia, known for ‘Indian Matchmaking’. However, Taparia informed him that his agency did not serve Muslims or Catholics. Nausheen expressed his surprise at this response, emphasizing his right to equal treatment in society. She recounted her family’s insistence on enrolling her in a marriage venue during the lockdown, as she was not dating at the time. Despite the disappointing encounter, Nausheen highlighted her broader experiences with discrimination based on her religion, including difficulties finding housing.
Talking about how the incident shocked her, Nausheen said, “I mean it’s 2021! Yes, I’m a muslimand what I have equal rights in society.” She was so upset by the experience that she shared it on social media, urging Sima to broaden her mindset. However, her family became concerned for her safety and she asked him to take down the post, fearing that someone might harm her for expressing her feelings.
Nausheen also shared her experiences of facing discrimination based on her religion. He revealed that many landlords refused to rent their houses in various localities, directly stating that they do not rent them to Muslims. Shocked by this blatant exclusion, she emphasized the importance of respecting all religions, warning that rigid mentalities hinder the development of society.
He also highlighted the difficulties he has in finding housing because of his religion. She stated that being Muslim, an actress, single or even having pets makes it difficult to secure a basic home. Owners often express concerns about their religion, while assumptions about actresses lead to stereotypes that they lack character or engage in negative behaviors. Nausheen expressed disbelief at such rigid mindsets, stressing the need for respect for all religions.
