Ex-DAY6’s eaJ SLAMS RIIZE’s OT6 Fans For Sending Funeral Wreaths To Seunghan: They Should Be Tried For Attempted Murder

Jae, former member of DAY6 eaJ has shown his support seunghan following his removal from RISE. The former K-pop star openly slammed all those who sent funeral wreaths to the young singer.

In response to user X who had tweeted about the harmful effects of parasocial relationships in the K-pop industry and the ongoing protest over Seunghan, eaJ wrote, “The flowers at the funeral were disgusting. The same people who they sent them will be the first in line. crying over the tragic outcome they fought for, God forbid tragedy, but I’ve been on this side before and I can’t imagine the trauma it would cause someone so young.” He further added: “Anyone involved in the flowers should be tried for attempted murder because that’s what it was.”

For the uninitiated, a handful of Korean fans were unhappy afterwards SM Entertainment announced Seunghan’s return to RIIZE. To protest his comeback, these “fans” sent over 1,000 wreaths to the label’s building, with messages such as “RIIZE is six” and “Hong Seunghan out”. Funeral wreaths are often used as a method of protesting K-pop stans.

Just two days after SM Entertainment announced that Seunghan would be rejoining RIIZE, the label shared that he had decided to part ways with the K-pop group. “Seunghan has expressed his intention to leave the team to the members and fans. We respect the artist’s decision, and we would like to inform you that Seunghan has left RIIZE, he has not rejoined,” he says the statement

For those not in the know, Seunghan had been on hiatus since November 2023 as he was caught up in multiple controversies over pre-debut photos and clips of him smoking and hanging out with girls.
