KTM has launched a new era of electronic architecture, highlighted by the V80 (vertical 8-inch) and H88 (horizontal 8.8-inch) touchscreen dashboards, new handlebar equipment and a new connectivity unit, which take your HMI (Human Machine Interface). ) to a whole new level of usability.

The 1280 x 720 resolution TFT dashboard now features newly developed inductive touchscreen functionality, with screen technology linked with anti-glare, anti-fingerprint and anti-glare screen coatings. This makes the user interface more visible from all angles, while the massive 256,000 colors (compared to 65,000 before) maintain perfect detail in all lighting conditions.

The inductive touch screen itself allows easy and simple access to information, regardless of the weather or driving equipment. This makes the touchscreen responsive to inputs with or without riding gloves.

Touchscreen shortcut buttons on the main display also eliminate the need for auxiliary switches, thanks to virtual buttons that allow access to functions such as powering up the heated grips, heated driver’s seat and fog lights , according to the model.

The display also allows for more customization options, with configurable split-screen functionality with 5 layout options available. This is supported by predefined screen options, allowing riders to choose between adaptive cruise control features, map navigation, telemetry, favorites or music as the main home screen, along with a reduced view of just the basics.

In addition, the switchgear has also been completely overhauled and optimized. Now features a dedicated Ride Mode button, new 5-way joystick and reverse button, new cruise control buttons, new A/M (Auto/Manual) button for AMT models, light and ignition switch and new buttons palette that can be customized. for models not equipped with AMT. The new buttons are also backlit and with graphics placed in optimal and logical positions to make it easy to find while driving in any condition.

Offline map navigation is now integrated into the bike’s connectivity unit, providing real-time navigation without syncing or connecting to a mobile phone. This enables active route guidance and route planning, along with AB routes, pre-programmed waypoints and more.

Staying connected to the world outside the helmet is also made even easier thanks to an improved CCU3.0 connectivity unit with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM that finally runs the Android Automotive operating system. This enables IoT connectivity with eSim, a GPS antenna, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The CCU3.0 ensures seamless reconnection with your smartphone on every power-up cycle, allowing riders to pick up where they left off in their split-screen music app (now with album art) and access to your entire contact list from your phone.
