The panic is real: Kamala collapses in national media RealClearPolitics

President Donald Trump has never been in such a strong position before Election Day in any of the previous cycles. Even in 2016, when he beat Hillary Clinton, most polls showed him trailing by single digits in key states that he would eventually win.

In national polls, Trump never led the average in 2016 or 2020, for that matter. It’s hard to get past deep blue populous states for Republicans to outperform Democrats in the national popular vote.

As of this morning, after a week of solidly pro-Trump polling data, Kamala Harris has lost its edge in the national vote and the result is a five-alarm fire at the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee:

Note the “This Day in History” line at the top where Hillary Clinton was up over 5 points on this date in 2016 and then lost. Hillary still won the popular vote by just over 2 percent, but lost the Electoral College, of course.

For a Democrat to be in an equal position with a Republican a few days before America finishes voting is perhaps the worst position they could be in. Democrats finally need a four- to five-point lead to comfortably win the necessary swing states. Without this track, Kamala Harris is already treading water and falling behind.

Kamala’s meltdown is real and getting worse by the hour. In the bigger picture, the election has returned to pre-Harris days, when Joe Biden saw a similar collapse. The energy of Biden’s abandonment of Harris seemed to jolt Democrats into action, but the emptiness of the campaign couldn’t sustain it.

Kamala Harris has always been a terrible candidate from the start. She went down in flames against her primary opponents in 2019 without ever making it to the Iowa caucuses. Her polling support at the time fell to just two percentage points among Democratic primary voters.

Maybe the Democrats should have considered this when they were hot-swapping and pretending that Kamala would suddenly be the female version of Barack Obama.

It also cannot be overstated how badly the Democrats have handled Kamala’s free fall as they move toward the kitchen sink approach. On the one hand, President Obama laments how divided the country has become, while on the same day, Kamala Harris compares Donald Trump to Hitler.

No surprise, it’s the other way around and disables moderates:

Host: Vice President Harris, how will you improve economic conditions for Americans and reduce costs?

Harris: Well, did you know that Donald Trump is Hitler? Next question!

That kind of endless diversion won’t fly. Voters aren’t as stupid as Democrats think. The old “threat to democracy” rhetoric is gone and gone, voters don’t even tune in anymore.

In the same vein, Kamala will be giving a speech on the national mall next week on the subject of… January 6. They really need to fire their advisors.

Her platform has become nothing more than anti-Trump. There are no policies that voters support. No explanation why he hides his radical views. Nothing more than hating Trump.

The Democrats put themselves in this position, letting Joe Biden pretend he was running for re-election and avoiding an actual primary. Harris still can’t answer questions or string words together with substance.

Donald Trump may be on his way to the largest Republican victory in decades.
