New Pokemon Leaks Ask Ash Actor To Discuss Cruel Rumor

New Pokemon Leaks Ask Ash Actor To Discuss Cruel Rumor

Pokemon has had its ups and downs, but right now we don’t know how to describe the franchise. All eyes are on Pokemon these days thanks to an unprecedented leak. Not too long ago, a netizen took to social media with dozens of never-before-seen Pokemon assets ranging from games to anime. The massive leak included reports of Ash Ketchum’s exit from the anime, and now that rumor is being debunked.

By whom, you may ask? Well, the rejection comes from Rica Matsumoto herself. The voice actress behind Ash Ketchum isn’t about to live up to the new Pokemon-facing leaks. On social media, he addressed a particularly vicious rumor about the Pokemon anime that suggested Ash’s exit was due to some casting drama.

RICA MATSUMOTO DENIES THE NEW POKEMON SOUL LEAKES

According to the leak, Ash saw his era in the anime come to an end due to several reasons, one of which was tension behind the scenes. Reports surfaced that the “strained relationship” between Matsumoto and Ikue Otani (the voice of Pikachu0) was causing problems within the cast. It didn’t take long for Matsumoto to hear about this report, and took to X (Twitter) to deny it directly

“Someone is making this up. Don’t worry, nothing like that has happened. I’ve been friends with Ikue since we were rookies, and she even came as a guest on my (tour),” the actress shared .

“I don’t know you, so you like to write these things? Nobody is happy about it. I think it’s in poor taste and childish.”

The post, which alerted Matsumoto to the leak, has since been deleted. However, this does not mean that the leak itself has disappeared. If anything, more eyes are on the situation than ever before, and Pokémon is facing a historic crisis as such.

WHAT DOES THE GREAT POKEMON ESCAPE MEAN FOR THE FUTURE?

After all, the leak is called Pokemon Teraleak because of its size. From unusual game sprites to unheard music and character sprites, tons of Pokemon content has been leaked in the past week. The information, which comes from a single social media user, is part of a terabyte-level leak that spans the entire lifespan of Pokemon. Game Freak, the company that makes the Pokemon titles, has not directly touched on this massive leak. However, it confirmed that it was hacked in August 2024.

With so much information leaked on the internet, it has become difficult to sort out the real leaks from the fake fluff. Many anime files were found within the terabyte leak, but as far as Matsumoto knows, none of this cruel anime rumor is true. So if you thought Ash left the anime for some nefarious reason, well, think again.
