‘DWTS’ Peta Murgatroyd on how she would feel if he didn’t ask her back

‘DWTS’ Peta Murgatroyd on how she would feel if he didn’t ask her back

Dancing with the stars veteran Peta Murgatroyd “hasn’t moved on” from the show and would love to return, but understands if producers don’t ask her back.

Murgatroyd was a professional dancer ABC reality competition series for 16 years, but he took this leave because she had just given birth to her third child, which was her second child in 18 months.

While she she worked on top of all her tasks and even returned to DWTS Just seven weeks after giving birth to her second son, Rio, this time Murgatroyd didn’t think she was ready for rehearsals.

“This time I didn’t go back because I felt it was too early. I was five weeks postpartum with Milan when the show would have me start and I just didn’t think my body or my mind was. there to be able to deal with something like this,” she said Newsweek.

The Aussie-American dancer would love to come back next year because she’s ‘not done’ with her time DWTS. She and husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy — a guy DWTS professional dancer—even they moved from Malibu to be closer to the studio and to reduce commute time so that he is not away from home too many hours of the day.

But Murgatroyd realizes that although she is eager to return to dwts, manufacturers may have other ideas.

“I love dancing with the stars if I could have done this season, I would have because they are my family, I’ve been with them since I was 22,” she said. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been around those people and I consider them part of my extended family.”

“Although the show is always evolving and changing and bringing in new professionals, so I don’t know if they’ll have me back, it’s a waiting game,” Murgatroyd added. “And if they don’t have me back, then that’s perfect. Gosh, I’ve done 16 seasons with three kids. So I’ve definitely had an amazing show.”

Even if her time DWTS is over, Murgatroyd has plenty of coals in the fire to keep her busy.

In addition to raising three young sons, she is nine years deep into running her own beauty company, Peta Jane Beauty, which she admitted started as a “side project that turned into a full-time job whole”.

“In the last couple of years it’s really taken off and now it’s become my main source of income. I mean, it’s everything,” Murgatroyd said. “It went very well and I’m very proud of it.”

More recently, she and Chmerkovskiy started their own YouTube series, The Maks and Peta Show, where he documents his family life. It was something they started after fan requests and were approached by networks to star in their own reality series.

They decided to control their own narrative when it came to how they wanted to portray their family in the public domain.

“Everyone wants us to do a reality show, and it’s been pitched many times, but it never felt right. And at the time, we didn’t know how much of our family we wanted to share,” Murgatroyd explained. “It’s a very fine line and I like to keep things private. So this was a big step towards a YouTube channel.”

But the family hasn’t ruled out signing up to do a more formal reality show, it’s just a matter of finding the right relationship because the pair aren’t willing to create drama for the sake of ratings.

“We’re totally open to trying again with networks. But it just has to be the right deal … with the right people and the right vision because a lot of studios just want crazy drama,” she said. “Even though there’s a bit of drama going on (at home), we’re not crazy chaotic people, you’re not going to see Maks and I throwing pots and pans at each other.

“I just can’t create that and I won’t create that. So there are lines I can’t cross.”

The Maks and Peta show is available to watch on YouTube.
