Baby2Baby is a national non-profit organization that provides children living in poverty with diapers, formula, clothing and the basic necessities every child deserves, serving more than one million children in all 50 states annually. Over the past 13 years, Baby2Baby has distributed more than 450 million items – more than any organization of its kind – to children in homeless shelters, domestic violence programs, foster care, hospitals and disadvantaged schools, as well as children who they lost everything behind. of disaster. GENERAL PRESENTATION OF THE POSITION

Baby2Baby is looking for a hard-working, mission-driven, and outreach-focused intern to join our fast-paced office starting Winter/Spring 2025 for 8 weeks for 8-12 hours/week. With a community focus, this intern will have the opportunity to learn from the Baby2Baby team about the day-to-day operations of the Community and Volunteering department. Reporting to the Director, Volunteers and Donor Relations, Community Engagement Interns will gain experience assisting the Baby2Baby team with daily volunteer and donor relations sessions.

The Community Engagement Intern will also learn about the non-profit and social service sectors in Los Angeles and how Baby2Baby accomplishes its mission.

This individual will spend their in-person internship hours at the Baby2Baby offices (5830 W. Jefferson Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90016). It evolves and can change.

NOTICES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Shadows the director, volunteer and donor relations with daily tasks and special projects.

Learn to recruit and train volunteers and host weekly volunteer events.

Gain exposure to various projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or higher education in progress.

Previous nonprofit and/or community experience preferred.

Friendly, outgoing and personable with the ability to manage large groups of volunteers.

Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and the Google Apps suite.
