The Butler Youth Baseball Association received a much-needed automated external defibrillator as a donation from the Allegheny Health Network Cardiovascular Institute on Tuesday, October 15th.

The association received its AED at a special presentation attended by association board members, children and parents, as well as AHN staff.

According to a press release, the baseball association tried to raise funds for an AED, but those efforts failed. The AED will be located at one of the association’s fields in the event of a cardiac emergency during a baseball game or practice.
