The Cure Play Marathon 31-Song Release Show at Troxy

cure celebrated their new album, Songs of a Lost Worldwith a record-breaking three-hour launch marathon show at London’s Troxy, which was streamed live online and is available to stream in full below.

The evening started with a full show of Songs of a Lost Worldthe band’s first newly released album in 16 years. From there, Robert Smith and co. performed a set of classic hits and fan favourites, including tracks such as ‘Plainsong’, ‘Pictures of You’, Lovesong’, ‘Fascination Street’, ‘Just Like Heaven’ and ‘Disintegration’.

The Cure then treated fans to a surprise mini set of five songs from their 1980 album, Row Two Seventeen secondsto celebrate their 45th anniversary, before ending the night with an encore that included ‘Lullaby’, ‘Friday I’m in Love’ and ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. In total, The Cure performed a total of 31 songs during the three-hour set.

Following a pair of studio sessions for BBC RadioFriday’s concert at the Troxy marked The Cure’s only full performance since 2024. However, the band plans to tour extensively starting in 2025 through them. expected retirement in 2029.
