Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are sent through funeral homes and cremation services, but we will accept referrals from families. Obituaries may be emailed to [email protected].

In addition to the text of the obituary, any photos you wish to include can be attached to this email. Please put the text of the obituary in a Word document, Google document or in the body of the email. Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service handling the care of the deceased, or a photo of their death certificate . We also ask that your full name, phone number and address be included in this email.

All payments made by families must be made with a credit card. We will send proof of the completed obituary before requesting payment. The obituary cannot run, however, until we receive full payment.

Obituaries may be submitted for any future date, but must be received no later than 3:00 pm on the day before it begins in order to be published.
