A Cincinnati woman has been sentenced after stealing 2,000 from her insurance company

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A Cincinnati woman has been sentenced to two years in prison for orchestrating a scheme to defraud an insurance company of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Erlisa King, 37, pleaded guilty to wire fraud in February. Authorities said he filed 247 renters insurance claims for apartments he didn’t live in. In total, King received more than $212,000 in fraudulent refunds.

When King was arrested, her cell phone contained several banking applications for Target credit lines and debit cards, as well as the stolen identities of several people, officials said.
