Asidowui (F/R), November 01, GNA – The Kpogede Gate of the Tsiala Clan in the Agave Traditional Area, brought out a new chief, Torgbe Kporti III, and a queen mother, Mama Aborku II, in a ceremony full of color.

The event, held at Asidowui in Tongu South District of the Volta Region, was attended by traditional rulers, clansmen and citizens from far and near and featured the coronation of Agbotadua Samuel Soli and two linguists for the new chief and queen mother . .

The ceremony showcased the rich culture and tradition of Agave State with performances by the Wuga Band of Agorkpo.

Torgbe Kporti III, in his coronation speech, stressed his commitment to promoting peace and unity in the traditional area.

“I am dedicated to fostering an environment where development thrives, peace prevails and unity flourishes, sustaining and enhancing the legacy of our forefathers,” he declared.

The new chief identified peace as a key factor in the development of the area, noting that disputes have hindered progress.

“Peace has eluded most communities in Agave State because of chieftaincy and other disputes. I pledge my full support to the traditional leadership in resolving all conflicts in the area and beyond.

Mamaga Nyagadze III, the Supreme Queen Mother of the traditional area, reiterated the importance of unity and peace, saying, “The time has come to unite the chiefs and people of Agave State and settle our differences for the mutual benefit of the present and the future. generations.”

The inauguration of the Agave Traditional Council, with the Supreme Chief as chairman, is expected to resolve chieftaincy disputes and promote peace.

Awafia Sekpete III, Chief of Ashiagborkope Gonu, introduced Torgbe Kporti III and his linguist, while Mamaga Nyagadze III, introduced Mama Aborku II and her linguist.

Mr Hayford Klutse, a retired educationist, lauded the event, calling for support for the new boss.

“This is a spectacular moment for our community. We must unite behind Torgbe Kporti III to achieve peace, unity and development.”

Torgbe Talifo II, Agbeve Chief and Chief of Yelu Keteni Gate of Tsiala clan expressed the clan’s gratitude for the honor of the family, clan, Asidowui town and Agave state.

He expressed optimism that Torgbe Kporti will operate an open door policy, promoting development initiatives, peace and unity in the traditional area.
