Ring of Honor in negotiations for a TV deal

Tony Khan might have another wrestling show on the show sooner rather than later, but not necessarily for AEW.

In this week Wrestling Observer NewsletterDave Meltzer reported that “negotiations are close” for a Ring of Honor deal.

“TruTV has always been the rumored station because they are moving to a primetime sports channel and would therefore need new content,” he wrote.

No other details such as a possible time frame have been reported.

The current weekly Thursday ROH TV product is on Khan’s HonorClub subscription service, which also includes the premium quarterly live events.

Khan (pictured above) purchased the company from Sinclair Broadcasting in March 2022, and while he never officially disclosed the purchase price, he told Meltzer on an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the cost was less than paid Jim Crockett Promotions for the UWF, which was $4.2 million.

Khan has publicly stated to the media in recent years that he has already made money back on ROH and then some.
