Malayalam actor Jayasurya REACTS to sexual abuse allegations, calls them ‘fabricated’

Trigger Warning: This article contains references to sexual abuse.

Actor Jayasurya recently came under scrutiny following allegations of sexual assault made by a female colleague as part of the findings of the Hema Committee report. The actor was called by the Kerala police for questioning in the matter, and he flatly denied these claims.

As reported by Manorama, the actor arrived at the Thiruvananthapuram police station on Tuesday morning for questioning on the filed case. He flatly denied the claims, calling them fabricated and added that he would also not require any anticipatory bail if the case continues.

Jayasurya said, “I completely deny the allegations. This is a fabricated case. I don’t even need anticipatory bail. It’s alarming that people make such false allegations against anyone. At least I have a platform to present my case. Many others don’t that. It could destabilize a lot of families.”

Not only this, Jayasurya also referred to himself as a living martyr, considering the two inexplicable and false cases filed against him by his female companions. He expressed his confidence in the judicial system and mentioned that he would go to the last detail to prove himself not guilty.

The Vellam star said, “I am facing two false allegations. A woman has been speaking in various places, implying that it is me, but later denied it on several occasions. I will fight legally till the allegations against me are fake. I think I’m a living martyr.”

For the uninitiated, it was September 1, 2024, when Jayasurya had, for the first time, addressed sexual abuse cases filed against him by women. Referring to her colleagues’ claims about her misbehaviour, the actor shared how it has distressed her and has also left her family members worried.

Through a detailed post on Instagram, Jayasurya also acknowledged the countless people — his fans and followers — who have been by his side all along. He further assured everyone that he would take such brutal accusations to court and would not stop until the truth was established.
