The Oasis frontman was shown the comedy show’s insight into his relationship with his brother Noel and revealed he found it “excruciating”.

Liam Gallagher has shared his thoughts on an SNL skit featuring himself and his brother Christmas

The formerly estranged brothers announced a Oasis reunion tour for 2025 and many have done it they joked that they might not even make it to the stage before falling again.

The famous US sketch show sent out Britpop band James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman dressed as Noel and Liam, but many were left underwhelmed by the segment – and it seems Liam was among them.

When a fan asked him if he had seen the clip, the Rock ‘n’ roll star he replied, “Are they meant to be comedians”?

Asked by another fan how he felt about the print, he replied: “Excruciating.”

When another argued he had gone dirty, the Supersonic singer added: “I wouldn’t expect anything else from them.”

And more than one person commented that it was “crap”.

Trev went into more detail, writing: “I’m not a huge fan of Oasis.

“I’m from Manchester. I saw all I could of it. It took them less than a minute to be full Dick Van Dyke, ‘cor blimey guvn’r.’

“For the American context, it’s the equivalent of someone saying ‘Howdy pardners, I’m from Texas’ in a Bronx accent. Ugh.”

Kev added: “Basically, Americans only have cockney or royal accents in their armory when they play English people.”

Christopher J. Scalia added that they probably should have consulted someone who knew something about Oasis or ’90s music to help write the sketch.

Although clearly not a fan of Oasis in the first place, Simon Raymonde opined that: “watching Oasis would be more fun”.

Despite all the jokes about the pair not hitting the stage, the siblings seem to be on good terms at the moment and Liam has even appeared to retire his derogatory nickname for his big brother.

When asked by a fan what he would call his brother now that he no longer uses the word potato, the 52-year-old rocker replied: “God.”

So far, Noel and Liam have confirmed that their Oasis Live ’25 tour will see them play dates in the UK and Ireland, North America, including Mexico and Australia.
