The scandal involving BTS’ Jimin and comedian Lee Jin Ho has taken the Korean entertainment world by storm.

BTS leader RM has expressed his frustration over the recent scam involving Jimin, who was allegedly defrauded of KRW 100 million (approx. 62 lakh) by comedian Lee Jin Ho. While RM did not name the individual responsible, he expressed his feelings by sharing lyrics from his latest album, sending a clear message of support for Jimin and condemnation of evil. BigHit already confirmed the incident.

Taking to Instagram Stories, RM shared his thoughts, writing, “There are so many annoying people in the world, so what? Just move on, there are so many clueless bastards in the world.”

The scandal involving BTS’ Jimin and comedian Lee Jin Ho has taken the Korean entertainment world by storm. In 2022, Jimin reportedly loaned Lee Jin Ho ₩100 million KRW after being informed of the comedian’s urgent financial needs.

However, Lee Jin Ho recently confessed to having a severe gambling addiction, revealing that the money Jimin lent him was used to fuel his destructive habit. Lee admitted to borrowing money from several other celebrities, making up false stories about tax problems and family problems to get the loans. This revelation quickly spread online, sparking public outrage and sympathy for Jimin, who is currently serving in the military.

Jimin wasn’t the only victim of Lee Jin Ho’s deception. Other stars like Lee Soo Geun and Ha Sung Woon were also caught up in the scam. Despite being scammed, Jimin showed immense generosity, even giving Lee Jin Ho 10 years to pay back the 100 million KRW loan.

On October 14, the comedian shared a lengthy message in which he confessed his financial problems and gambling addiction. His long note read, “Hi, I’m Lee Jin Ho. I want to open up about an embarrassing chapter in my life that was a result of my bad decisions. In 2020, I started participating in online gambling illegal, which led to a large amount of debt. After receiving harsh advice from friends and realizing that my career was at risk, I finally understood the gravity of the situation and was able to stop playing.”

Lee Jin Ho said that, however, he had already borrowed money from many people at that time.

Following the scandal, the show Knowing Bros announced that Lee Jin Ho would be leaving the show immediately.
