“The fact that a suburbanite who a (sic) came to Yankee Stadium to kick ass completely destroys the talent of (Gerrit) Cole throwing a no hitter in the 5th or (Freddie) Freeman with a 4 game streak consecutive. : both in the World Series. It won’t mean anything to me because all I’ll remember are the obnoxious fans I had to avoid.”

Pierce he also wrote that he could “care less” about the outcome of the game, but that he would look back on the players’ performances.

“I saw (Aaron) Judge find his swing for a home run, I saw a grand slam home run by Freeman. I saw a pitching masterclass by Cole and (Jack) Flaherty. The players I will remember…”
