TI and Young Dro’s interview goes sideways after drug addiction jokes

TI avoided a fight breaking out during his interview on The Breakfast Club on Monday (October 14). TI intervened when a member of his entourage laughed at Young Dro talking about drug addiction on the radio show.

“All these things happened,” said Young Dro. “The overdose. My daughter was on drugs. And career-wise, I wasn’t where I wanted to be.”

Young Dro reached his breaking point when a comedian named K Dubb kept laughing at the rapper’s addiction struggles.

“Yeah, they even slap you,” Young Dro told K Dubb. “I mean, we like her, but I’ll get slapped for it… I’m just telling you.”

K Dubb replied: “You’re not going to slap me now.”

Young Dro replied, “What do you want to do?”

TI swung into action, calming down his longtime collaborator before focusing on K Dubb.

“Hey, listen,” TI said sternly, pointing at K Dubb. “Both of you. All of you. Everyone came to the m############ with me. Yeah, look, everyone came to the m############ with me. Yeah , look, remember who you came in with. Come on, man. Get this s### together.

IT’s warning stopped the verbal shield from going out of control. It also allowed Young Dro to continue discussing how he overcame his drug addiction.

“All these things happened where it made me want to look for something better,” he said. “So when I took myself to rehab in LA, I did a couple of months out there. And it was great. I went out again and I was still tempted to live that kind of life. But I saw what was in front of me and I said, “This is more valuable than what is behind me.”

TI is scheduled to perform at 96.1 The Beat’s Jingle Ball in Atlanta on December 19th. He claims it will be his last live performance.
