Big Brother 26 winner Cheslie Baham he masterfully puppeteered all season, but didn’t quite admit it to the jury for good reason.

“I 100 percent played it down for two reasons,” Chelsie, 27, exclusively said Us Weekly on Monday, October 14, after Big Brother 26 final “No. 1, I didn’t want to gloat too much next to my friend Mackenzie (Manbeck). I didn’t want to do this. She took me to the last two.”

Chelsie explained that she chose to give the judges some “general notes” of her game to give them the “gist” of her strategy.

“I didn’t want to seem like I came off as too cocky because that can also influence them to vote a certain way,” he said. “So I laid out facts. I felt like I did it in a soft way and I didn’t go as hard on the paint as I could have.”

Before heading to the judging panel, fans heard Chelsie and Makensy, 22, talk about what they were going to say to their former houseguests. Makensy, who chose to evict Cam Sullivan-Brown about Chelsie after winning the final competition, she confessed that she didn’t know what she was going to say. Chelsie stated on camera that she didn’t have any final remarks prepared either. However, Cheslie confessed we this was one of his “last strategic moves” of the season.

“This girl knew I was fine with my words and I was afraid that if I told her I was too ready for this, she would hesitate to take me to the final two,” he confessed. “So I wanted to play like, ‘This is no big deal. I don’t know (what) I will say. “I knew exactly what I was going to say.”

Chelsie believed her decision to tone down her explanation “ended up benefiting her” in the long run. The nonprofit director was unanimously voted the winner.

“I think some of the judges came in with preconceived ideas about how they thought we played,” he said of how he thought he would address the jury. “But when I actually laid out the stats of my strategy and knew what I was talking about, I think that was just the nail in the coffin to say, ‘Hey, I might have been swinging either way, but Chelsie has come up with something which is difficult to overcome’”.

“It took me completely by surprise. I thought because of Angela and Leah, not only because of the question that Angela had asked me on the jury, but also because I took Leah out through Makensy’s HOH , I thought for sure these two would vote for Makensy,” Chelsie shared. “So when I saw his keys with my name on them, I said, ‘If I have two of them, I have the rest of the house.’
