Liam Gallagher reacts to ‘SNL’ mockery of Oasis Brothers feud

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher seemed unhappy with how Saturday night live portrayed his notorious relationship with his brother Noah.

In the latest episode of the sketch comedy show, SNL cast members James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman portrayed Noah and Liam during the “Weekend Update” segment. In the sketch, Johnson and Sherman hilariously argued with each other, in a nod to the long-standing feud between the brothers.

Liam soon caught wind of the sketch and let people know what he thought.

“They’re meant to be comics,” Liam tweeted in response to a clip from the show.

The skit, which you can watch above, features Colin Jost asking the Gallagher brothers about the US leg of their Oasis reunion tour, which kicks off next year, and whether they’ll be splitting up before hitting the road.

“I’m cool if he’s cool,” Johnson said as Noah. Sherman as Liam replies, “I’m cool, I’m cool, I’m cooler than you.”

Johnson and Sherman continued to bicker like the Gallagher brothers, but agreed on random topics like cartoon characters and the best Will Smith movie. There was also the moment when Liam de Sherman said their feud started at Wembley Stadium in 1993, when Noel told the Spice Girls that his brother suffered from a “crooked knob – you said that I bent like Beckham!”

The Oasis reunion tour was announced in August and is set to begin in September next year. The group will hit several cities in the UK, North America, Europe and Australia.
