Wow! That song is awful

Jon Bon Jovi has expressed his support for US Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in the upcoming presidential election. The singer-songwriter made the announcement by sharing a snippet of the music video for his single The People’s House on his social media accounts on October 11, 2024.

The music video for The People’s House also featured country music duo The War and Treaty, and the song was featured on Jon’s latest album, Forever, which was released in June this year.

The Grammy-winning artist described The People’s House as a song that “celebrates this beautiful place we call home.”

She then shared her decision to vote for Harris and Walz, stating: “The truth matters. And the truth is that on election day I will be voting for @KamalaHarris and @TimWalz because I believe in the power of us, not me . I have written a song that reminds us that among many, we are still one.”

The post received mixed reactions from the public, with users of X (formerly Twitter) sharing their thoughts in the comments. One user slammed Jon Bon Jovi, saying he had “lost a fan”.

Similar reactions followed, with others criticizing the song itself.

“Wow! This song is horrible. Bon Jovi really lost his ability to make good music. This will help Trump a lot and cost you 75% of your fans,” another user commented.

On the other hand, some people expressed their support for Jon’s choice to support Kamala Harris.

“Absolutely love that you are voting for Harris. She will make a huge improvement in our economy and she cares about people,” wrote one X user.

“We got Bon Jovi!!!” another user mentioned.

“Thanks, some of us care about this country! I think you get it,” another person wrote to X.

Many users, however, argued that artists should stay out of politics, criticizing the 60-year-old star for his involvement in the political arena.
