Supreme Court rejects plea alleging side effects of COVID-19 vaccines

New Delhi (India), Oct 14 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a petition alleging that the administration of vaccines against COVID-19 caused side effects such as blood clotting.

A bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra refused to entertain the petition and observed that the petition was just an attempt to create sensation.

The top court also observed what would happen if people did not take the vaccine.

“We don’t want to take this out, this is just to create sensation,” the top court said. The high court also sought to know what was the use of the plea.

The high court also asked the petitioner’s counsel whether he had taken the medicine. The lawyer answered yes. The court then sought to know if he suffered any side effects and counsel’s response was that he did not.

The petition was filed by one Priya Mishra and another who has contested the alleged side effects of the COVID vaccines. (ANI)
