BTS’ Jimin Scammed: Comedian Lee Jin Ho Admits Cheating Him Out of KRW 100 Million

In a surprising and distressing revelation, comedian Lee Jin Ho of Knowing the brothers admitted his struggle with a gambling addiction. This confession brought more shocking news, including his involvement in conning several celebrities. Among the victims, BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that BTS’s Jimin was defrauded by Lee Jin Ho. The agency revealed that Jimin had loaned him a large amount of money based solely on a promissory note.

Korean media reports suggest that Jimin had given Lee Jin Ho approximately KRW 100 million in 2022 and the debt was never repaid. BIGHIT MUSIC released a statement confirming the unfortunate situation, stating, “Jimin suffered a financial loss. He trusted Lee Jin Ho and loaned him the money with just a promissory note.”

Outraged netizens expressed their anger online, with comments including, “Scammers not even celebrities… Jimin was scammed” and “Didn’t pay despite written agreement. This is unacceptable.”

Lee Jin Ho shocked the K-content community when he posted a confession on social media, revealing that he was under police investigation for illegal online gambling. In his post, he admitted that his addiction began in 2020 when he stumbled upon illegal gambling sites, which soon led him to get into debt far beyond his ability to pay.

She acknowledged that constant advice from friends and loved ones finally opened her eyes to the severity of her addiction. He shared that he had received financial help from numerous people and pledged to pay off all his debts. “I will pay for everything on my own, even if it takes the rest of my life,” Lee Jin Ho wrote.


Describing the anxiety that consumed him, he revealed how every call from an unknown number filled him with dread, fearing his gambling habit would be exposed. He likened the fear to being “beaten up every day.” In his extended social media post, Lee Jin Ho apologized to everyone he hadn’t paid. Although her agency, SM C&C, has yet to release an official statement, Knowing the brothers has begun investigating the matter to determine his future on the show.
