According to a latest report, Salman Khan has canceled all meetings and asked for privacy after Baba Siddique’s murder. The actor visited his family in the hospital last night.

The killing of NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique has sent shock waves across the country. Bollywood celebrities rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital to meet the late leader’s family. Amidst this, questions have been raised about Salman Khan’s safety as the Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the murder. A recent report has revealed that security has been beefed up outside Khan’s house and the actor has canceled all meetings.

According to India Today, Salman Khan is distraught after Baba Siddique’s death. The two were close friends and the actor was always spotted at their star-studded Iftar parties. The report revealed that the actor has been checking on Zeeshan Siddique and the family after returning from the hospital. The report quoted a source as saying, “Bhai has been on the phone checking the funeral arrangements and all other details. He has also canceled all his personal meetings for the next few days.”

He also mentioned that not only the actor but his family is also devastated by the death of the political leader. The report added that Khan’s family has asked for privacy and asked many of his friends in Bollywood to refrain from meeting him due to security concerns. Following the murder, footage shows how security has been increased outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments. Earlier this year, two men opened fire in front of his house. They were subsequently arrested in Gujarat.

The Mumbai police have registered a case over Siddique’s murder, invoking applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Arms Act and the Maharashtra Police Act. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Siddique will be accorded full state honors during his cremation as he served as a minister in the Maharashtra government from 2004 to 2008 and also served as chairman of the Authority of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development (MHADA).
